How to check in Singapore Airlines?

There are several ways to check in Singapore Airlines, including self-service kiosks, online check-in, airport check-in, and auto check-in. Passengers can check in 24 hours prior to the departure of their flight. Moreover, it is recommended that you check in only at the airport if you have large luggage.

Using any of the channels listed below, passengers can quickly check in with the airline:


Online Check-in Process


You can request Singapore Airlines Online check-in up to 48 hours before your flight departs from the convenience of your laptop or smartphone. To check in using the online website, you need to do the following:


  • Go to the ‘Check-in’ tab on the airline's official website.

  • Input the last name of the traveler along with your 13-digit e-ticket number or six-character booking reference.

  • Review your flight information once you are on the check-in overview page. To check in for a passenger, check the boxes next to them.

  • Fill out the passenger details page with the relevant information. Next, click ‘Proceed to check-in.’

  • The airline will then complete the check-in procedure. You will receive an email verifying that your check-in was successful.

  • Click ‘Get boarding pass’ to get the digital boarding pass.  


Singapore Airlines Mobile Check-in


The steps below must be taken in order to check-in using the mobile app:


  • To start your Mobile App Check-in, you must first download the airline's app from the Play Store or iOS store.

  • Open the mobile app and find the ‘My Trip’ section.

  • To retrieve your reservation, enter the passenger's last name, booking reference number, or e-ticket number.

  • If more than one flight has been added to ‘My Trips,’ pick the one you want to check into.

  • Initiate the check-in procedure by selecting ‘Check-in now.’

  • If any passenger information is missing or needs to be updated, choose ‘Edit,’ make the necessary changes, and then tap ‘Save’ to return to the summary page.

  • Once all checkboxes have been ticketed, click ‘Check-in.’

  • You also have the option to switch seats. Simply tap the ‘Edit’ button next to your current seat number to make changes. After selecting a new seat, tap ‘Done’ to save your changes.

  • To get a mobile boarding pass from the airline, click ‘View Boarding Pass.’

  • For baggage tag declaration, tap the "Generate Baggage Tag" button.  


Auto Check-in & Self Service Kiosk Check-in


The Singapore Airlines Check-in times for auto check-in are at least 48 hours prior to departure, and for self-service kiosks, is up to 24 hours before departure.  Select the SIA logo at the airline self-service kiosk to start the check-in process. The boarding pass can be created by selecting ‘Get Boarding pass.’ If you have already created your boarding pass through a website or mobile app but still require the baggage tag, click ‘get bag tag.’ Place your passport's photo page onto the scanner now. To get your reservation back, enter the six-character booking reference. 


Now, choose the number of bags you must check-in for your flight at this time. Look over the boarding process and select the appropriate one. Click the next button after entering your contact details. At the kiosk, get your printed boarding pass and bag tags. To drop off your bag, proceed to the automated bag drop machine or bag drop assistance counter.


On the other hand, you can also turn on auto check-in through the airline’s manage booking tab. In this scenario, the airline will handle everything, so your boarding pass is automatically issued.
